วันที่ 6-12 มิถุนายน 2557 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู จัดโครงการฝึกอบรมพัฒนาทักษะการสอนภาษาไทยและวัฒนธรรมไทยให้แก่ครูอาสาสมัครชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย ณ มูลนิธิพระวิเชียรโมลี (แฉล้ม เขมปญฺโญ) วัดชัยมงคล พระอารามหลวง จังหวัดสงขลา มีครูอาสาสมัครเข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมทั้งสิ้น 54 คน (จากรัฐกลันตัน 24 คน ที่เหลือมาจากรัฐเคดาห์ เปรัค  เปอร์ลิส และกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์) โดยการสนับสนุนจากศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) และมูลนิธิพระวิเชียรโมลี (แฉล้ม เขมปญฺโญ) ทั้งนี้ พิธีเปิดการฝึกอบรมได้มีขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2557 โดยนายจักรกฤษณ์ กาญจนศูนย์ กงสุลใหญ่ เป็นผู้ทำพิธีเปิดร่วมกับนายดลเดช พัฒนรัฐ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสงขลา และได้มีหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และผู้แทนสถาบันการศึกษาในจังหวัดสงขลาจำนวนมากมาร่วมในพิธี รวมทั้ง นายโมฮัมหมัด ชาฮารูล หมัด ออสมัน (Mr. Mohammad Shaharul MD Osman) กงสุลมาเลเซียประจำจังหวัดสงขลา

โครงการฝึกอบรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการสอนภาษาไทยและวัฒนธรรมไทยให้แก่ครูอาสาสมัคร เพื่อให้บุคคลเหล่านี้สามารถเป็นกลไกในการถ่ายทอดความรู้ภาษาไทย และศิลปะวัฒนธรรมไทยไปยังเยาวชนชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทยได้ต่อไป

On 6-12 June 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu organized the annual Thai language training program for Malaysian-Siamese volunteer teachers at Prawichianmolee Foundation, Songkhla to develop skills in teaching the Thai language and to promote the preservation of the Thai language and culture among the new generation of Malaysian-Siamese youth.  A total of 54 volunteer teachers participated in the program, consisting of 24 from Kelantan and the remaining from the states of Kedah, Perlis, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.  The program was a collaboration project between the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre (SBPAC) and Prawichianmolee Foundation.  Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon and Mr. Dondej Pattanarat, Deputy Governor of Songkhla province, presided over the opening ceremony, which was joined by representatives of the public sector and academic institutions in Songkhla, including Mr. Mohammad Shaharul MD Osman, Consul at the Consulate General of Malaysia, Songkhla.
