On 25 May 2023, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General to Kota Bharu, welcomed Pol.Col. Poonsak Kaewkhao, Superintendent of Narathiwat Immigration Office as well as immigration officers from Narathiwat Immigration Office to the Royal Thai Consulate – General, Kota Bharu. Pol.Col. Poonsak congratulated Mr. Phasit on his recent assumption of duty as Thai Consul – General to Kota Bharu. On this occasion, the two sides discussed issues of border control and immigration as well as exchanged views on common challenges, particularly after the Thai and Malaysian Governments fully re-opened their respective borders when the Covid-19 pandemic had subsided. Furthermore, the two sides emphasised the importance of building on the long-standing and cordial relations between Narathiwat Immigration Office and the Royal Thai Consulate – General for further cooperation.
