Consul- General of Thailand to Kota Bharu paid a courtesy call on Kelantan State Immigration Director on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty.
On 20 March 2024, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General, together with officials of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, paid a courtesy call on Mohd Faizal Bin Shamsudin, Kelantan State Immigration Director, on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty. The two sides exchanged views on ways to further enhance coordination and information exchange and discussed recent Malaysian policies and measures on immigration such as “Migrant Repatriation Programme” as well as support sought from the Kelantan Immigration Department for protection of Thai nationals in Kelantan. On this occasion, the Consul – General expressed gratitude for good cooperation, including transfer of Thai patients to Thai hospitals, from the Kelantan Immigration Department over the years while the Director opined that the Department and the Thai side have always had good relations which is the foundation for addressing various challenges in cross-border screening and that the Department stands ready for joining relevant activities organized by the Consulate-General.
