วันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2568 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้จัดงานสัมมนา “Thailand – Malaysia Trade Partnership Forum 2025 : Enhancing Cross-Border Prosperity between Southern Thailand and North-East Malaysia” ณ เมืองโกตาบารู รัฐกลันตัน ประเทศมาเลเซีย เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการค้าชายแดนระหว่างไทย - มาเลเซีย สนับสนุนการสร้างเครือข่ายและการเชื่อมโยงภาคธุรกิจ ตลอดจนการลดอุปสรรคทางการค้า และเปิดโอกาสให้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลด้าน กฎระเบียบและกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้อง
นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมและเป็นประธานพิธีเปิดงาน โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก YB Mejar (B) Dato’ Haji Md. Anizam Bin Ab. Rahman ประธานคณะกรรมการการลงทุนอุตสาหกรรม ทรัพยากรบุคคล การค้าและผู้ประกอบการ รัฐกลันตัน เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดและกล่าวถ้อยแถลงในโอกาสนี้
ช่วงเช้า มีการเสวนาในหัวข้อ “Unlocking Border Trade Potential : Southern Thailand & North-East Malaysia” โดยผู้ร่วมเสวนาประกอบด้วยนายภาษิตฯ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ นายวรวรรณ วรรณวิล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ นายวัตรพงศ์ เลิศคุณากรณ์ รองประธานหอการค้าจังหวัดนราธิวาส นาย Mr. Wong Kiang Meng รองประธานหอการค้าจีนกลันตัน และนาย Ahmad Syakir Bin Junoh อาจารย์ประจำคณะธุรกิจและผู้ประกอบการ มหาวิทยาลัยมาเลเซียแห่งรัฐกลันตัน ผู้ร่วมเสวนาได้ร่วมกันแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น และตอบข้อซักถามเกี่ยวกับภาพรวมการค้าชายแดนไทยกับมาเลเซีย ตลอดจนการเพิ่มศักยภาพการค้าชายแดนระหว่างสองประเทศ
ช่วงกลางวัน สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้จัดให้ผู้ประกอบการท้องถิ่นของไทยจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ อาทิ นราธิวาส นำโดยนางศิริพร เลาหะกุล ประธานหอการค้าจังหวัดนราธิวาส และปัตตานี นำโดยนายณัฐนนท์ พงษ์ธัญญะวิริยา กรรมการหอการค้าไทย และประธานกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ชายแดน และของมาเลเซียจากรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู พบปะพูดคุยระหว่างอาหารกลางวัน เพื่อทำความรู้จักและสร้างเครือข่ายทางธุรกิจระหว่างกัน
ช่วงบ่าย เป็นการบรรยายให้ความรู้ 2 หัวข้อ ได้แก่ “Thai Customs Procedures and Regulatory Frameworks For Cross-Border Trade” โดยนายปัญญรัช เหร่บุตร นักวิชาการศุลกากรชำนาญการ และนายวรวรรณฯ และ “Malaysian Customs Procedures and Regulatory Frameworks for Cross-Border Trade โดย Dr. Ishak Bin Ismail รองผู้อำนวยการกรมศุลกากรรัฐกลันตัน พร้อมทั้งเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมสัมมนาสอบถามและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นอย่างกว้างขวาง
การสัมมนาครั้งนี้ นับว่า ประสบความสำเร็จตามวัตถุประสงค์ในการสนับสนุนความร่วมมือพื้นที่ชายแดนเพื่อการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ของไทยและรัฐตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของมาเลเซีย โดยภาคเอกชนไทยจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ได้ให้ความร่วมมือเดินทางมาร่วมงานสัมมนาในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานจำนวนกว่า 100 คน จากภาคธุรกิจต่าง ๆ ทั้งของไทยและมาเลเซีย
Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organizes “Thailand–Malaysia Trade Partnership Forum 2025: Enhancing Cross-Border Prosperity between Southern Thailand and North-East Malaysia”
18 August 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu successfully organized the Thailand–Malaysia Trade Partnership Forum 2025: Enhancing Cross-Border Prosperity between Southern Thailand and North-East Malaysia. The forum aimed to strengthen economic and trade partnerships along the Thai–Malaysian border, enhance business networks among local entrepreneurs, and promote mutual understanding of trade regulations and customs procedures to facilitate smoother cross-border trade.
The forum commenced with opening remarks and an official inauguration by Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu. The ceremony was graced by the presence of YB Mejar (B) Dato’ Haji Md. Anizam Bin Ab. Rahman, Chairman of the Investment, Industry, Human Resources, Trade and Entrepreneurial Committee, Kelantan State Government, who delivered special remarks to mark the occasion.
Morning Session: Panel Discussion
The morning session featured a panel discussion titled “Unlocking Border Trade Potential: Southern Thailand & North-East Malaysia.” The discussion provided an overview of Thai–Malaysian border trade and offered recommendations for enhancing cross-border trade potential. Panelists included Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General, Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Director, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP Malaysia), Mr. Watthapong Lertkunakorn, Vice President, Narathiwat Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Wong Kiang Meng, Vice President, Kelantan Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Ahmad Syakir Bin Junoh, Lecturer, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.
Following the panel, a networking luncheon hosted by the Consulate-General in Kota Bharu offered participants a good opportunity to connect and exchange ideas. Among the attendees were entrepreneurs from Southern Thailand, including Ms. Siriporn Laohakul, President, Narathiwat Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Natthanon Phongthanyawiriya, Chairman of Southern Border Provinces Group, Thai Chamber of Commerce. Malaysian participants included business representatives from the states of Kelantan and Terengganu.
Afternoon Session: Customs and Trade Procedures
The afternoon session featured two presentations focused on regulatory frameworks and customs procedures, namely “Thai Customs Procedures and Regulatory Frameworks for Cross-Border Trade,” presented by Mr. Panyarat Rebut, Professional-Level Customs Technical Officer, Thai Customs Department and Director of DITP Malaysia. The “Malaysian Customs Procedures and Regulatory Frameworks for Cross-Border Trade,” was presented by Dr. Ishak Bin Ismail, Deputy Director, Kelantan State Royal Customs Department.
Both presentations were followed by interactive Q&A sessions, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers and share perspectives on cross-border trade facilitation.
The forum achieved its key objectives of promoting cross-border collaboration for mutual developments in Southern Thailand and North-East Malaysia, attracting over 100 participants from both Thai and Malaysian business sectors.
