วันที่ 29 มิถุนายน 2556 เป็นอีกครั้งหนึ่งที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้ให้ความสนับสนุนการจัดกิจกรรมกีฬา และการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างโรงเรียนไทยกับมาเลเซียที่มีความร่วมมืออันดีระหว่างกัน คือ โรงเรียนสุไหงโก-ลก จังหวัดนราธิวาส กับ Sultan Ismail College รัฐกลันตัน ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาได้มีกิจกรรมร่วมกันมาแล้วหลายครั้งภายใต้การสนับสนุนของสถานกงสุลใหญ่

สำหรับครั้งนี้ในช่วงเช้า เป็นการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลคู่ผสมอาวุโส (ครูชาย/หญิงของโรงเรียนสุไหงโก-ลกและข้าราชการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ กับครูของ Sultan Ismail College ) ผลการแข่งขันปรากฏว่าเสมอกัน ในช่วงสายเป็นการแข่งขันฟุตซอลนักเรียนชายที่สนามกีฬาเทศบาลสุไหงโก-ลก (ผลการแข่งขันปรากฏว่านักเรียนไทยเป็นฝ่ายชนะ)

ในวันเดียวกันนั้น สถานกงสุลใหญ่ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพอาหารกลางวัน ที่โรงแรมเก็นติ้ง โดยแขกผู้มีเกียรติที่เข้าร่วมงานมี อาทิ นายเจษฎา จิตตรัตน์ นายอำเภอสุไหงโก-ลก นายรอซอมะ ดาแม รักษาราชการผู้อำนวยการเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาเขต 15 นายประภาส ขุนจันทร์ ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนสุไหงโก-ลก นาง Che Norhayati, Senior Assistant Principal of Sultan Ismail College รองนายกเทศมนตรีเมืองสุไหงโก-ลก และสื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่นจำนวนมาก โดยบรรยากาศในงานเป็นไปอย่างชื่นมื่น ในการนี้ นายจักรกฤษณ์ กาญจนศูนย์ กงสุลใหญ่ ได้กล่าวถึงวัตถุประสงค์และความสำคัญของการจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ว่า มิได้มุ่งถึงการแพ้หรือชนะเป็นสำคัญ แต่มีจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมให้มีความสนิทสนมแน่นแฟ้นกันยิ่งขึ้น และเพื่อเป็นพลังผลักดันให้โรงเรียนทั้งสองได้มีความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดกันต่อไปสมดังชื่อ “Goodwill Games” รวมทั้ง แสดงให้ชาวมาเลเซียเห็นว่า อำเภอสุไหงโก-ลกจังหวัดนราธิวาสมีความปลอดภัยสามารถเดินทางเข้ามาท่องเที่ยวได้ทุกเมื่อ หลังจากนั้นจึงได้ให้มีการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างโรงเรียนของไทยกับมาเลเซียก่อนที่จะสิ้นสุดการจัดกิจกรรม โดยคณะครูและนักเรียนโรงเรียน Sultan Ismail ได้พากันไปจับจ่ายซื้อของอุปโภคบริโภคในตลาดอำเภอสุไหงโก-ลก ก่อนเดินทางกลับเมืองโกตาบารูในเย็นวันนั้น

On 29 June 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu hosted the “2013 SIC – Sungai Kolok School Goodwill games” and cultural exchange activities between schools from Thailand and Malaysia - Sungai Kolok School, Narathiwat and Sultan Ismail College (SIC), Kelantan. The two schools have maintained a close relationship and have on various occasions taken part in activities sponsored by the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

The event took off in the morning, commencing with a volleyball match between the Thai team (Sungai Kolok School teachers and officers of the Royal Thai Consulate-General) and the Malaysian team (SIC students and teachers), followed by a student football match at Sungai Kolok Municipality Stadium. The volleyball match ended with a tie whereas the Thai team took home the trophy for the student football match.

On the same day, the Royal Thai Consulate-General hosted a banquet at Genting Hotel, joined by honored guests such as Mr. Jedsada Jitrat – Sungai Kolok District Chief Officer, Mr. Sormah Damae – Acting Director of Education Area 15, Mr. Prapat Kunjan – Principal of Sungai Kolok School and Che Norhayati – Senior Assistant Principal of SIC. Consul General Jackrid Kanjanasoon stated that the event was not aimed at finding a winner but was aimed at promoting closer relationships between the participating schools and to promote closer cooperation to reflect the title of the event - “Goodwill Games”. In addition, the event also enabled Malaysians to see that Sungai Kolok, Narathiwat is a safe place for travelling. The banquet was then followed by cultural performances from the Thai and Malaysian schools. The teachers and students of SIC spent the rest of the evening shopping in Sungai Kolok before travelling back to Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
