วันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2557 - นายเปายี แวสะแม กงสุล ได้นำชมรมนักศึกษาไทยรัฐกลันตัน จำนวน 50 คน เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและแนะนำตัวแก่ศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) โดยมี ผศ. ปิยะ กิจถาวร รองเลขาธิการ ศอ. บต. เป็นประธานให้การต้อนรับ

ในโอกาสนี้ รองเลขาธิการ ศอ. บต. ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดีกับนักศึกษาไทย (ซึ่งเป็นเยาวชนจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้) ที่ได้รวมตัวจัดตั้งชมรมนักศึกษาไทยในรัฐกลันตัน โดย ศอ.บต. พร้อมให้การสนับสนุน โดยเฉพาะในด้านการศึกษา ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้

ชมรมนักศึกษาไทยรัฐกลันตันจัดตั้งขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีระหว่างนักศึกษา ร่วมกันทำกิจกรรมที่เกิดประโยชน์กับนักศึกษา และส่งเสริมความก้าวหน้าในการเรียน ซึ่งปัจจุบันชมรมฯ มีสมาชิกประมาณ 120 คน ประกอบด้วยนักศึกษาไทยจากมหาวิทยาลัย KIAS (KOLEJ ISLAM ANTARABANGSA SULTAN ISMAIL PETRA) และ UNIVERSITY MALAYA, KELATAN

On 27 February 2014, Consul Paoyee Waesahmae led 50 members of the “Thai Student Association at Kelantan” to the province of Yala to visit and introduce the association to the Southern Border Administrative Centre (SBPAC). The group was greeted by Deputy Secretary General Piya Kittaworn who congratulated the students (whom are youths from the southern border provinces) on forming the Thai student association in Kelantan and gave assurances of SBPAC’s readiness in providing assistance to the students, especially educational support which is key to the development of Thailand’s southern border provinces.

The Thai Student Association at Kelantan was formed for the purpose of building unity among Thai students and promoting student activities to enrich the students’ learning experiences. The association currently has about 120 members consisting of students from KIAS (Kolej Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Ismail Petra) and University Malaya, Kelantan.
