วันที่ 1-3 สิงหาคม 2557 นายจักรกฤษณ์ กาญจนศูนย์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู และนายพงศ์ศักดิ์ เทพเรืองชัย กงสุล ได้เดินทางไปร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของหอการค้าไทย ครั้งที่ 2/2557 และการประชุมกลุ่มนักธุรกิจรุ่นใหม่ (Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce/YEC) ซึ่งหอการค้าจังหวัดนราธิวาสได้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรมเก็นติ้ง อำเภอสุไหงโก-ลก จังหวัดนราธิวาส โดยมีผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาส รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดฯ (นายสิทธิชัย ศักดา) และหัวหน้าส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องของจังหวัดนราธิวาส เข้าร่วมการประชุมเพื่อทบทวนแผนการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของภาคเอกชนให้สอดคล้องกับนโยบายของรัฐบาล และแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ รวมทั้งเพื่อให้การขับเคลื่อนเกิดประโยชน์ต่อภาคเอกชนมากที่สุด 

ในโอกาสเดียวกัน สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ให้การต้อนรับกลุ่มนักธุรกิจรุ่นใหม่ซึ่งเดินทางเข้ามาสำรวจตลาดการค้าชายแดน และรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปจากสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ฯ เกี่ยวกับสภาพเศรษฐกิจ และโอกาสทางการค้ากับรัฐกลันตัน นอกจากนั้น ในค่ำวันที่ 2 สิงหาคม กงสุลใหญ่ ฯ ได้เดินทางไปร่วมงาน “สำเภาร้อยใจนราก้าวไกลสู่ AEC” ซึ่งหอการค้าจังหวัดนราธิวาสจัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรมเก็นติ้ง เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่คณะผู้แทนภาคเอกชน อาทิ นายสมเกียรติ อนุราษฏร์ และนายนิยม ไวยรัชพานิช รองประธานกรรมการหอการค้าไทย รวมทั้งประธานหอการค้า และนักธุรกิจรุ่นใหม่จาก 14 จังหวัดในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ ในโอกาสที่เดินทางมาเยือนจังหวัดนราธิวาส บรรยากาศเป็นไปอย่างชื่นมื่น

1-3 August 2014, Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon and Consul Pongsak Thepruangchai, together with Narathiwat’s Provincial Governor, Vice Governor (Mr. Sittichai Sakda) and Narathiwat’s chief officers attended the Thai Chamber of Commerce’s 2^nd the Southern Region Economic Development Committee’s Meeting 2014 and the Meeting of Young Entrepreneurs of the Chambers of Commerce which was hosted by Narathiwat’s Chamber of Commerce at Genting Hotel, Sungai Kolok, Narathiwat. The meeting was held in order to review the private sector’s plan on mobilizing the southern economy and also to discuss the National Economic and Social Development Plan.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General also welcomed the “Young Entrepreneurs of the Chamber of Commerce” who visited Kelantan to study the market potentials in the border areas and attended a briefing by the Royal Thai Consulate-General on “Kelantan’s Economy and Trade Opportunities”. On the night of 2 August, Consul-General Jackrid attended the dinner hosted by Narathiwat’s Chamber of Commerce at Genting Hotel to welcome the delegation which included Mr. Somkiat Anurat and Mr. Niyom Wairajpanit, Vice Chairmen of the Thai Chamber of Commerce as well as chairmen and young entrepreneurs from the chambers of commerce of 14 southern provinces on the occasion of their visit to Narathiwat.
