วันที่ 5 กันยายน 2557 นายพงศ์ศักดิ์ เทพเรืองชัย กงสุล ได้เป็นผู้แทนกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู เดินทางไปร่วมการประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการความร่วมมือเศรษฐกิจกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้านด้านมาเลเซีย ครั้งที่ 5 ณ โรงแรมสตาร์ลินรีสอร์ต จังหวัดสตูล ตามที่ได้รับเชิญจากนายศิริศักดิ์ หวังธรรมมั่ง ประธานคณะอนุกรรมการฯ และกรรมการสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมการประชุมประกอบด้วย กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองปีนัง ประธานหอการค้าจังหวัดสตูล คณะกรรมการหอการค้าจังหวัดสตูล และเจ้าหน้าที่ภาครัฐของจังหวัดสตูล รวมทั้ง คณะอนุกรรมการฯ อื่น ๆ โดยที่ประชุมได้หารือเรื่องการจัดสัมมนาเพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทางธุรกิจระหว่างชายแดนไทย-มาเลเซีย และการนำคณะนักธุรกิจไทยเยือนมาเลเซีย รวมทั้งการเชื่อมโยงทางการค้าระหว่างจังหวัดสตูลกับรัฐชายแดน มซ.

On September 2014, Consul Pongsak Thepruangchai, attended the 5th Subcommittee Meeting on Thai-Malaysian Economic Cooperation at Starin Resort, Satun province which was chaired by Mr. Sirirak  Wangthammang, chairman of the Subcommittee and director of Board of Trade of Thailand. Participants at the meeting included the Thai Consul-General to Penang, the chairman of Satun’s Chamber of Commerce, committee members of Satun’s Chamber of Commerce and the government officers of Satun. Major issues that were raised during the meeting included plans for the “Thai-Malaysian Business Dialogue and Networking Forum”, the visit to Malaysia by Thai businessmen and trade promotion between Satun and bordering states of Malaysia.
