วันที่ 4 ธันวาคม 2557 - นายจักรกฤษณ์ กาญจนศูนย์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู และข้าราชการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ร่วมกันจัดงานเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เนื่องในโอกาสมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 87 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2557 เพื่อแสดงออกถึงความจงรักภักดีและสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณที่ทรงมีต่อพสกนิกรชาวไทยทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ สำหรับการจัดงานแบ่งเป็น 2 ช่วง คือช่วงเวลา 11.00-13.00 น.เป็นงานเลี้ยงรับรองและการลงนามถวายพระพรสำหรับชาวมาเลเซีย และนักเรียนไทยจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ที่เข้ามาศึกษาอยู่ในรัฐกลันตัน โดยมีแขกผู้มีเกียรติฝ่ายมาเลเซียมาร่วมงานจำนวนมาก อาทิ YAB Dato’Haji Ahmad Bin Yakob มุขมนตรีรัฐกลันตัน YB Dato’ Hj. Che Abdullah Mat Nawi มนตรีด้านการเกษตร และเทคโนโลยีสิ่งแวดล้อมของรัฐกลันตัน และ Dato’Hj Mazlan Bin Lazim ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจรัฐกลันตัน เป็นต้น ต่อมาช่วงเวลา 18.00-21.00 น. เป็นงานงานเฉลิมพระเกียรติสำหรับคนไทย พี่น้องชาวสยาม (ชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย ) รวมทั้ง กลุ่มเพื่อนไทย (Friends of Thailand) ซึ่งเป็นนักธุรกิจและข้าราชการมาเลเซีย ในโอกาสนี้ นายจำนัล เหมือนดำ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาส พล.ต.ต.พัฒนวุธ อังคะนาวิน ผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดนราธิวาส นางสุชาดา พันธ์นรา นายกเทศมนตรีเมืองสุไหงโก-ลก นายศรัณย์ วังสัตตบงกช ประธานหอการค้าจังหวัดนราธิวาส รวมทั้ง หัวหน้าส่วนราชการของจังหวัดนราธิวาส และนักธุรกิจมาเลเซีย อาทิ Mr.Lee Seng Long ประธานหอการค้าและอุตสาหกรรมจีนประจำรัฐกลันตัน ก็ได้มาร่วมพิธีโดยพร้อมเพียงกัน ผู้ร่วมพิธีได้จุดเทียนชัยถวายพระพร ร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมี และเพลงสดุดีมหาราชา โดยทุกคนต่างสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระองค์ท่าน และถวายพระพรชัยมงคลให้พระองค์ท่านทรงพระเกษมสำราญ และเจริญพระชนมพรรษายิ่งยืนนาน เป็นมิ่งขวัญของปวงชนชาวไทยตลอดไป ทั้งนี้ ภายในบริเวณงานยังได้มีการจัดนิทรรศการสินค้าโอทอปของ 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ เพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประกอบการด้วยการประชาสัมพันธ์สินค้ากับแขกที่มาร่วมงานด้วย

On 4 December 2014, Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon and officers of the Royal Thai Consulate-General organized the ceremony to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 87th Birthday Anniversary at the Consulate-General to express their loyalty and gratefulness for His Majesty’s kindness to Thai people in Thailand as well as Malaysia. The daytime ceremony (11.00-13.00) was held for Malaysian guests and Thai students in Kelantan. Special guests from Malaysia who attended the event includes YAB Dato’ Haji Ahmad Bin Yakob (Chief Minister of Kelantan), YB Dato’ Haji Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (Committee Chairman of Agriculture, Bio Technology and Green Technology, Kelantan) and Dato’ Haji Mazlan Bin Lazim (Chief Police Officer of Kelantan). The evening ceremony (18.00-21.00) was held for the Siamese community and the Friends of Thailand Association consisting businessmen and government officers of Malaysia. Mr. Jamnal Muandam (Deputy Provincial Governor of Narathiwat), Pol.Maj.Gen. Pattanawut  Angkanawin (Commander of Narathiwat Provincial Police), Mrs. Suchada Pannara (Mayor of Sungai Kolok), Mr. Saran Wangsattabongkot (Chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Narathiwat) and heads of government offices from Narathiwat Province, together with Malaysian businessmen including Mr. Lee Seng Long (Chairman of Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kelantan), attended the ceremony offer to their blessings and join the candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute to His Majesty the King. Thailand  OTOP products from the 3 southern most provinces were also exhibited at the hall to promote products of local entrepreneurs to the Malaysian market.
