เมื่อวันพุธที่ 28 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2559 ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคีที่วัดเทพจันทราราม รัฐตรังกานู เพื่อรวบรวมปัจจัยสำหรับใช้ในการก่อสร้างสถานที่เก็บอัฐิของผู้วายชนม์ตามคติทางพระพุทธศาสนา

On Wednesday, 28 September 2016, Dr. Paitoon Songkaeo, Consul-General presided over the ceremony to offer the Money Tree to Wat Tepchandraram, Terengganu State. The donation will be used to build a condo-like house in which the bone relics of the cremated corpse will be kept by relatives as per the Buddhist faith.
