เมื่อวันที่ ๒๗ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๐ ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้นำคณะกรรมการบริหารสมาคมสยามกลันตัน ประเทศมาเลเซีย ไปยังมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎยะลา เพื่อลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงระหว่างสมาคมสยามกลันตันกับมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎยะลา เพื่อร่วมกันส่งเสริมการฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพของนักศึกษาในฐานะอาสาสมัครและการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย เป็นต้น ที่วัดพุทธในรัฐกลันตัน

On 27 February 2017 Dr. Paitoon Songkaeo, Consul-General, led a group of Executive Committee of Kelantan Siamese Association, Malaysia to visit Yala Rajabhat University, Yala Province, Thailand to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Yala Rajabhat University and Kelantan Siamese Association, whose purpose is to jointly promote and support the university students’ professional teaching experiences as a voluntee teacher at Buddhist temples in Kelantan.
