เมื่อวันที่ 28 มีนาคม 2560 นางสาวจันทรรัตน์ งามชนะ รองกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันเรือยอกองเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ไทย – มาเลย์ เฉลิมพระเกียรติฯ ครั้งที่ 5 ประจำปี 2560 ที่ท่าชมพู่ ชุมชนโปฮงยามู อำเภอสุไหงโก-ลก จังหวัดนราธิวาส ซึ่งมีนางสุชาดา พันธ์นรา นายกเทศมนตรีเมืองสุไหงโก-ลก เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน โดยได้เชิญนายอำเภอ Pasir Mas รัฐกลันตัน พร้อมด้วยคณะเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงเข้าร่วมด้วย ในโอกาสนี้ นายสรุพร พร้อมมูล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาส ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการแข่งเรือดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์แม่น้ำโก-ลก รวมทั้เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างชุมชนไทย-มาเลย์สองฝั่งแม่น้ำโก-ลก

On 28 March 2017 Miss Jantarat Ngamchana, Deputy Consul-General to Kota Bharu, attended the Closure Ceremony of the 5th “Yor Kong” Boat Racing at the “Tha Chom Phu” , “Po Hong Ya Mu” community , Su-ngaikolok district, Narathiwat province hosted by the Mayor of Su-ngaikolok Municipality. District Chief of Pasir Mas, Kelantan and high level officials from Pasir Mas were
also invited to attend the Ceremony, which was presided over by Deputy Governor of Narathiwat province. The objectives of this boat racing were to raise public awareness of environmental protection of the Kolok river as well as to enhance relations between Thai – Malay communities who live along both sides of the river.
