On 4 December 2017 the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organised a reception to mark the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day at its Multi-purpose building. On this occasion, distinguished guests from Thailand and Kelantan, comprising of representatives from public and private sectors joined the reception. From the Thaiside, the Governor of Narathiwat and his spouse, Chiefs of District Offices of Tak Bai, 
Su-ngai Kolok, Sukhirin and Waeng were present, while from Kelantan Dato’ Anvar Tan Abdullah, Chairman of Trade and Industry, Community Unity and Entrepreneurial Development, Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan, Chief of Kelantan Police, Mr. Mahasan Bin Mustafa, Director of Road Transport of Kelantan, 
Mr. Nubli Ab. Latib, Deputy Director of Education Department, Nik Mohd Fahim Mukaimin, Director of Ministry of International Trade and Industry joined the reception. Thais living in Kelantan as well as Malaysians of Thai descendants were also present in the reception.
