วันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2568 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ให้การต้อนรับนายกฤษณนันท์ กำไร รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาส พร้อมด้วยนายวิสันต์ ประเสริฐศรี ผู้ช่วยเลขาธิการ ศอ.บต. (กระทรวงแรงงาน) นายสุนทร หมัดแล้ แรงงานจังหวัดนราธิวาส และคณะเจ้าหน้าที่จากหน่วยงานในสังกัดกระทรวงแรงงานจังหวัดนราธิวาส ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและหารือประเด็นแรงงานไทยที่ทำงานในมาเลเซีย
โอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแรงงานไทยในมาเลเซีย โดยเฉพาะในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู รวมถึงนโยบายและมาตรการของรัฐบาลมาเลเซียเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างชาติ สถิติการจ้างแรงงานไทยในรัฐกลันตัน การเตรียมความพร้อมด้านกฎระเบียบและการพัฒนาทักษะให้แก่แรงงานไทยในจังหวัดนราธิวาส (ต้นทาง) และเมืองโกตาบารู (ปลายทาง) การสนับสนุนการปรับปรุงแก้ไขบันทึกความเข้าใจว่าด้วยการจ้างแรงงานไทยระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซีย ปี 2546 เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน การดำเนินการเชิงรุกเพื่อเข้าถึงแรงงานไทยจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ที่นิยมทำงานในรัฐกลันตัน และกิจกรรมความร่วมมือด้านแรงงานระหว่างสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ กับจังหวัดนราธิวาส
ภายหลังการหารือ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนราธิวาสและคณะ พร้อมด้วยนายปาณัท ทองพ่วง กงสุล สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้ลงพื้นที่พบปะพูดคุยกับผู้ประกอบการร้านต้มยำ Kahfi Tomyam Seafood เมืองโกตาบารู และแรงงานไทย เพื่อรับฟังสภาพความเป็นอยู่ ความท้าทาย และข้อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของแรงงานไทยในพื้นที่
Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu welcomes Vice Governor of Narathiwat Province and his delegation and discusses matters concerning Thai workers in Malaysia
On 6 October 2025, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, welcomed Mr. Kritsananan Kamrai, Vice-Governor of Narathiwat Province, together with Mr. Wisan Prasertsri, Assistant to Secretary-General of Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (Ministry of Labour), Mr. Sunthorn Madlae, Chief of Narathiwat Provincial Labour Office, and officials from agencies under the Ministry of Labour, Narathiwat Province, for their courtesy call and discussion over matters regarding Thai workers in Malaysia.
On this occasion, both sides discussed and exchanged views and information concerning Thai workers, especially those working in Kelantan and Terengganu, including Malaysian government policies and measures regarding foreign workers, Thai labour employment statistics in Kelantan, regulatory preparations and skills development for Thai workers in Narathiwat (origin) and Kota Bharu (destination), support for amendments of the 2003 Memorandum of Understanding on Recruitment of Thai Workers between Thailand and Malaysia to better align with current situation, proactive measures to outreach Thai workers from the southern border provinces of Thailand who prefer to work in Kelantan as well as cooperation in labour affairs between the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Narathiwat Province.
Following the discussion, the Vice Governor of Narathiwat Province and his delegation, together with Mr. Panat Thongpoung, Consul of the Consulate-General, met with the owner of Kahfi Tomyam Seafood Restaurant in Kota Bharu and Thai workers to learn about their living conditions, challenges and suggestions to improve the quality of life of Thai workers in the area.
