วันที่ 15 – 20 มกราคม 2569 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู นำคณะนักธุรกิจและกลุ่มเพื่อนไทย (Friends of Thailand: FOT) ชาวมาเลเซีย จำนวน 12 คน ซึ่งมีบทบาทในภาคเอกชนของรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู ประเทศมาเลเซีย และเป็น “มิตรของประเทศไทย” ที่สนับสนุนภารกิจของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐทั้งสองกับประเทศไทยมาอย่างยาวนาน เดินทางเยือนกรุงเทพฯ และจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เพื่อเยี่ยมชมศึกษา “การพัฒนาธุรกิจอาหารและเกษตรครบวงจรแบบ Farm to Table” ในประเทศไทย สำหรับส่งเสริมและขยายโอกาสความร่วมมือใหม่ ๆ ด้านธุรกิจการค้า และอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว ระหว่างภาคเอกชนไทยกับมาเลเซีย

 

กงสุลใหญ่ฯ และคณะ FOT ได้เยี่ยมชมและศึกษาดูงานกิจการของบริษัท เบทาโกร จํากัด (มหาชน) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทชั้นนำด้านอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเกษตรครบวงจรของไทย ที่ศูนย์นวัตกรรมอาหารเบทาโกร (Betagro Food Innovation Center) เขตอุตสาหกรรมนวนคร จังหวัดปทุมธานี โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร. ภณธกร วงศ์เจริญ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ ศูนย์นวัตกรรมอาหารฯ บรรยายสรุปอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและการเกษตรครบวงจรของบริษัทฯ พร้อมทั้งนำชมการวิจัยและพัฒนานวัตกรรมการผลิตอาหารของศูนย์นวัตกรรมอาหารฯ รวมทั้งหารือกับคณะถึงศักยภาพและความร่วมมือด้านอุตสาหกรรมอาหารระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซีย อาทิ อุตสาหกรรมอาหารฮาลาล

 

ที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ และคณะ FOT ได้หารือแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างการเลี้ยงรับรองอาหารค่ำกับ นางธนัญญา เชิดโฉม รองผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานเชียงใหม่ เกี่ยวกับศักยภาพด้านการท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดเชียงใหม่และรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู และการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยว นอกจากนั้น คณะได้ศึกษาเยี่ยมชมการดำเนินงานของธุรกิจต้นแบบ 3 แห่งที่ดำเนินกิจการการเกษตรและอาหารครบวงจรตั้งแต่ต้นทางของกระบวนการผลิตจนถึงการแปรรูปและจำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์สู่ผู้บริโภค ในลักษณะ Farm to Table ได้แก่ ชาของไร่ชาอรักษ ในอำเภอแม่แตง โกโก้ของ Skugga Estate ในอำเภอแม่ออน และพืชผลเกษตรอินทรีย์ของ Ginger Farm ในอำเภอสารภี จังหวัดเชียงใหม่

 

Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu led a delegation of business representatives and Friends of Thailand from Kelantan and Terengganu, Malaysia on a study visit to Thailand on development of integrated agro-food business under the farm-to-table concept.

 

From 15–20 January 2026, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, led a delegation of 12 prominent Malaysian business representatives and members of the Friends of Thailand (FOT) from Kelantan and Terengganu on a study visit to Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The participants playing active roles in the private sector in both states are long-standing “Friends of Thailand” who have consistently supported the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s initiatives to strengthen relations between Thailand and the two states.

 

During the visit, the delegation explored Thailand’s integrated “Farm to Table” food and agricultural business development model. The programme aimed to provide practical insights, foster knowledge exchange, and explore new opportunities for enhanced cooperation in trade, business, and tourism between the Thai and Malaysian private sectors.

 

The Consul-General and the FOT delegation visited the Betagro Food Innovation Center at Nava Nakorn Industrial Estate, Pathum Thani Province, to gain insights into the business operations and innovations of Betagro Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading fully integrated agro-industrial and food companies.

 

On this occasion, Dr. Phontakorn Wongcharoen, Vice President, Food Innovation Center / Global Sourcing, Betagro Public Company Limited, delivered a briefing on the company’s end-to-end operations across the agricultural and food value chain. He also led a guided tour of the Center’s research and development facilities, highlighting advancements and innovations in food production. Constructive discussions were held on the potential for enhanced cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia in the food industry, including opportunities in the Halal food sector.

 

In Chiang Mai Province, the Consul-General and the FOT delegation held discussions over a dinner reception with Ms. Thananya Cherdchom, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office, on the tourism potential of Chiang Mai as well as Kelantan and Terengganu, and on ways to further promote bilateral tourism cooperation.

 

In addition, the delegation visited and studied operations of three model enterprises that implement a fully integrated “Farm to Table” approach, covering the entire process from upstream agricultural production to processing and direct distribution to consumers. These site visits included tea production at Araksa Tea Garden in Mae Taeng District, which specializes in premium tea, cocoa integrated production at Skugga Estate in Mae On District, and organic agricultural production with learning activities and restaurant operations at Ginger Farm in Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province.
