วันที่ 26 กันยายน 2568 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้มอบเงินจำนวน 300,000 บาท (ประมาณ 38,710 ริงกิต) แก่พระอุเทน อุทโย รักษาการเจ้าอาวาสวัดโฆสการาม รัฐกลันตัน เพื่อสนับสนุนการปฏิสังขรณ์วัด โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำนุบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนา ตลอดจนส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ฉันมิตรระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซีย โอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ได้ร่วมพิธีทำบุญตักบาตรกับชุมชนชาวสยามและถวายปัจจัยแด่พระภิกษุสงฆ์เพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลและสืบสานวัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทย

ภายหลังพิธี กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ร่วมเป็นประธานการประชุมหารือร่วมกับคณะกรรมการบริหารสมาคมสยามกลันตัน เพื่อติดตามความคืบหน้าในการดำเนินโครงการส่งเสริมการเรียนการสอนภาษาไทยและศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทยในรัฐกลันตัน ซึ่งสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ให้การสนับสนุนอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อธำรงรักษาอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมไทยให้คงอยู่สืบไป

Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu hands over a financial contribution to support restoration of Wat Khosakaram, Kelantan and joins almsgiving ceremony

On 26 September 2025, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, presented a donation of 300,000 Baht (approximately 38,710 Ringgit) to Phra Uthen Uthayo, Acting Abbot of Wat Khosakaram in Kelantan. The donation aims to support the temple renovation, with the objectives of preserving Buddhism as well as fostering close ties of friendship between Thailand and Malaysia.

On this occasion, the Consul-General also participated in a traditional almsgiving ceremony with the local Siamese-Malaysian community and offered alms to the monks to help uphold the Buddhist values and practices.

Following the ceremony, the Consul-General co-chaired a meeting with the Executive Committee of the Kelantan Siamese Association to follow up on a progress of the programme under the continued support of the Consulate-General to promote Thai language learning and Thai culture, with the goal of preserving unique cultural identity for future generations.
