Kelantan Sangha Council and Kelantan Siamese Association delivered relief supplies for people affected by severe flooding in Hatyai district, Songkhla Province, Thailand
On 19 December 2025, Venerable Phisan Samanakit, Chief Monk of Kelantan State, together with Datuk Eh Chan A/L Tom, Advisor to the Kelantan Siamese Association, and representatives of the Kelantan Sangha Council and the Kelantan Siamese Association, as well as Siamese and Chinese Malaysians of Kelantan State, Malaysia, totalling 51 persons travelled to Hatyai district, Songkhla Province, Thailand, to deliver relief supplies, jointly donated by the Siamese and Chinese Malaysian communities throughout the State of Kelantan, consisted of essential consumer goods and daily necessities, including blankets, clothing, mosquito repellent, detergent, dry food, and other essential daily items. These supplies were presented to the Disaster Relief Center, 42nd Military Circle, Senanarong Camp, Hatyai district.
In this occasion, Major General Phumdecha Puangcharoen, Commander of the 42nd Military Circle and Director of the 42nd Military Circle Disaster Relief Center, graciously received the donations on behalf of the Center, to distribute them to those affected by recent severe flooding in Hatyai district.
This activity reflected and reinforced the longstanding goodwill and cordial spirit of friendship between Malaysian people, the Siamese of Kelantan in particular, and the people of Thailand.
