วันที่ 29 มิถุนายน 2567 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้จัดโครงการที่ปรึกษากฎหมายมาเลเซียครั้งที่ 1/2567 เพื่อให้ความรู้และคำแนะนำในการใช้ชีวิตและพำนักอาศัยในมาเลเซียอย่างถูกกฎหมายแก่คนไทยในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู การจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ได้รับความร่วมมืออย่างดียิ่งจากสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมืองรัฐกลันตัน และสำนักงานทะเบียนราษฎรรัฐกลันตัน และมีผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมมากกว่าประมาณการ รวมจำนวนแล้วกว่า 92 คน นอกจากนี้ โครงการฯ ได้เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานสอบถามปัญหาและข้อสงสัยต่าง ๆ กับผู้แทนหน่วยงานทั้งสอง ตลอดจนขอรับคำปรึกษากับสำนักงานทนายความของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้โดยตรง

นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้กล่าวเปิดงาน โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการหมั่นเรียนรู้กฎหมายและระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้องกับคนต่างชาติ เพื่อให้คนไทยพำนักในมาเลเซียได้อย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย มีความสุข มีศักดิ์ศรีและเกียรติภูมิ

Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu Organized the First Legal Seminar in 2024 to Provide Knowledge and Advice to Thai People in Kelantan and Terengganu

On 29 June 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organized the first Legal Seminar for Thais in Malaysia in 2024. The seminar aimed at providing basic legal knowledge and advice for Thai people in Kelantan and Terengganu to live and reside legally in Malaysia. This event received excellent cooperation from the Immigration Department of the State of Kelantan as well as the National Registration Department of Kelantan and participation exceeding expectations, with over 92 attendees. Additionally, the seminar offered participants the opportunity to ask questions and address their concerns directly with representatives from both agencies. Participants could also seek legal advice from the Consulate’s in-house law firm Yeap & Ang, Advocates & Solicitors.

Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of learning about relevant laws and regulations for foreigners. The basic knowledge ensures that Thai people residing in Malaysia can live legally, happily, with dignity and respect by others.
