วันที่ 15 พ.ย. 2568 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู เป็นประธานพิธีปิดโครงการพัฒนาศิลปะการแสดงกลองยาว การอบรมการซ่อมแซมกลองยาว และการพัฒนาศิลปะการฟ้อนรำพื้นถิ่นของชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายสยามของรัฐกลันตัน ประจำปี 2025 พร้อมทั้งมอบรางวัลให้แก่คณะกลองยาวและคณะฟ้อนรำพื้นถิ่นที่ชนะการแข่งขัน
สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ สนับสนุนงบประมาณจำนวน 23,000 ริงกิต สำหรับการจัดโครงการดังกล่าว ระหว่างวันที่ 14 – 15 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ณ วัดมัชฌิมาราม โดยวันแรกเป็นการอบรมการแสดงและซ่อมกลองยาวและการฝึกซ้อมการฟ้อนรำพื้นถิ่นของชาวสยาม ส่วนวันที่สองเป็นการแข่งขันการแสดงกลองยาว และการฟ้อนรำพื้นถิ่นของชาวสยาม โดยมีเด็กและเยาวชนจากชุมชนชาวสยามในตำบลต่าง ๆ ของรัฐกลันตันเข้าร่วม รวม 14 ทีม ทั้งนี้ ศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) ได้สนับสนุนวิทยากรอบรมการแสดงและซ่อมกลองยาว และ นพ.สมหมาย บุญเกลี้ยง ผู้ช่วยเลขาธิการ ศอ.บต. และคณะ ได้ให้เกียรติเดินทางมาเข้าร่วมโครงการฯ ด้วย
โครงการฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออนุรักษ์และต่อยอดการเรียนการสอนศิลปะวัฒนธรรมไทย สืบสานมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมอันทรงคุณค่า เสริมสร้างความสามัคคีในชุมชน ตลอดจนส่งเสริมสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรมของรัฐกลันตัน นอกจากนี้ ยังช่วยสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวของรัฐกลันตัน และเป็นเสมือนสะพานแห่งมิตรภาพที่เชื่อมโยงสายสัมพันธ์ด้านวัฒนธรรมระหว่างชุมชนชาวสยามในรัฐกลันตันกับประเทศไทยให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu supports the 2025 long-drum performance development project, long-drum repair training, and development of traditional Siamese folk dance in Kelantan.
On 15 November 2025, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, presided over a closing ceremony of the long-drum performance development project, the long-drum repair training, and the traditional folk dance development program for the Siamese community in Kelantan for 2025. The Consul-General also presented awards to the winning long-drum troupes and traditional dance groups.
The Consulate-General provided financial support totalling 23,000 Ringgit for the project implementation, held from 14 to 15 November 2025 at Wat Matchimaram. The first day featured workshops on long-drum performance and repair, as well as practice sessions for traditional Siamese folk dance. The second day consisted of competitions in long-drum performance and traditional Siamese folk dance, with participation of children and youth from Siamese communities across various sub-districts in Kelantan—14 teams in total. The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) supported the project by providing instructors for both the performance and repair training. Dr. Sommai Boonklieng, Assistant Secretary-General of SBPAC, along with his delegation, also honored the event with their attendance.
The project aims to preserve and further develop the teaching of Thai arts and culture, uphold a valuable cultural heritage, and strengthen unity within the community, while also promoting the multicultural society of Kelantan. In addition, it helps support tourism in the state and serves as a bridge of friendship that deepens cultural ties between the Siamese communities in Kelantan and Thailand.
