วันที่ 7 กันยายน 2569 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ให้การต้อนรับนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์ หลักสูตรครุศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาไทย และหลักสูตรรัฐประศาสนศาสตรบัณฑิต คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏยะลา ในโอกาสเดินทางมาศึกษาดูงาน ณ เมืองโกตาบารู รัฐกลันตัน มาเลเซีย ณ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ

โอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้แนะนำให้นักศึกษาเรียนรู้บริบททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของรัฐกลันตัน ซึ่งแม้จะได้รับการขนานนามว่า “ระเบียงมักกะฮ์” แต่ยังคงเป็นสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรมที่ประชาชนต่างเชื้อชาติและศาสนาอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติ ซึ่งถือเป็นเอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่นของจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ของไทยมาตั้งแต่อดีตเช่นกัน

นอกจากนี้ นักศึกษาได้รับฟังการบรรยายจากนางสาวกมลรัตน์ สวนแก้ว กงสุล เกี่ยวกับการดำเนินงานของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ในการส่งเสริมอัตลักษณ์และวัฒนธรรมไทยในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู โดยเฉพาะผ่านความร่วมมือกับชุมชนชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายสยาม และจากนายปาณัท ทองพ่วง กงสุล ในหัวข้อภารกิจด้านการดูแลและคุ้มครองคนไทยในพื้นที่ พร้อมทั้งได้ซักถามและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในประเด็นต่าง ๆ ที่สนใจ

Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu Welcomes Students and Faculty Members from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University

On 7 September 2026, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, welcomed students and faculty members from the Bachelor of Education Program in Thai Language and the Bachelor of Public Administration Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University, who were on a study visit to Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia, at the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

On this occasion, the Consul-General encouraged the students to gain deeper understanding of the social and cultural context of Kelantan, which, despite being known as “Verandah of Mecca”, is a multicultural society where people of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds live together peacefully. This distinctive social and cultural identity is also shared by the southern border provinces of Thailand and has been deeply rooted in the region for generations.

The students also received briefings from Ms. Kamolrat Suankaew, Consul, on the Consulate-General’s efforts in promoting Thai identity and culture in Kelantan and Terengganu, particularly through cooperation with the Malaysian Siamese community, and from Mr. Panat Thongpoung, Consul, on the Consulate-General’s role in providing consular protection and assistance to Thai nationals in Kelantan and Terengganu. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views on issues of interest.
