วันที่ 18 – 19 มิถุนายน 2568 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ร่วมกับศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) และสถาบันนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ จัดโครงการตรวจสารพันธุกรรม หรือ DNA ประจำปี 2568 โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย เพื่อช่วยเหลือคนไทยในมาเลเซีย โดยเฉพาะจากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ที่มีสถานะตกหล่นทางทะเบียนราษฎร จำนวน 86 คน ให้ได้รับการตรวจพิสูจน์สัญชาติ เพื่อให้ได้มีสถานะเป็นคนไทย สามารถเข้าถึงสิทธิ ความคุ้มครอง และบริการจากภาครัฐ
ในห้วงเดียวกัน สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ร่วมมือกับสำนักงานสาธารณสุขจังหวัดนราธิวาส และโรงพยาบาลในสังกัด จัดหน่วยแพทย์เคลื่อนที่เป็นครั้งแรก เพื่อให้คำปรึกษาทางการแพทย์ และบริการตรวจสุขภาพพื้นฐานแก่คนไทยในมาเลเซีย ณ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ โดยมีผู้ขอเข้ารับบริการ ทั้งสิ้น 127 ราย
นอกจากนายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู และเจ้าหน้าที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ผู้บริหารของหน่วยงานภาคีเครือข่ายได้ให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมงานและสังเกตการณ์ รวมทั้งนายกูเฮง ยาวอหะซัน เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงยุติธรรม ผศ. สุชาติ เศรษฐมาลินี กรรมการสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งชาติ นายวีระกิตติ์ หาญปริพรรณ์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ นพ. ถนัด อาวารุลหัก นายแพทย์สาธารณสุขจังหวัดนราธิวาส และ นพ. วุฒิชัย ดิลกธราดล ผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลสุไหงโก-ลก เป็นต้น
Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu, in collaboration with partner agencies, jointly organized a consular programme on DNA testing to help Thais in Malaysia register themselves into the Thai civil registration system, and conducted basic health consultation at the Consulate-General
During 18 – 19 June 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate – General in Kota Bharu, in close collaboration with the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre and the Central Institute of Forensic Science, Thailand jointly organized a consular programme providing free of charge DNA testing to help Thais in Malaysia register themselves into the Thai civil registration system, so that they can gain access to the rights, protection, and public services provided by the Thai government. The event saw 86 participants, mostly from the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand.
In the event, the Consulate-General, for the first time, also partnered with the Narathiwat Provincial Public Health Office and its subsidiary hospitals in providing basic health screening and medical consultation for 127 Thais at the Consulate-General’s compound.
Apart from Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, the event was honoured by participation of executives of various partner agencies, including Mr. Kuheng Yawohasun, Secretary to Minister of Justice of Thailand, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suchart Setthamalinee, National Human Rights Commissioner of Thailand, Mr. Weerakit Harnpariphan, Director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, Dr. Tanad Awarulhak, Chief of Narathiwat Provincial Public Health Office, and Dr. Wuttichai Diloktharadol, Director of Su-ngai Kolok Hospital.
