วันที่ 8 พฤษภาคม 2568 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู จัดกิจกรรมคลินิกให้คำปรึกษาด้านกฎหมายมาเลเซีย ครั้งที่ 1 ประจำปี 2568 แก่ผู้แทนอาสาสมัครไทยในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู ณ อาคารอเนกประสงค์ของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ โดยมีนาย Cheah Poh Loon ทนายความชาวมาเลเซียเป็นวิทยากรอบรมให้ความรู้กฎหมายมาเลเซียขั้นพื้นฐานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับคนไทยที่พำนักอาศัยหรือเดินทางมาประกอบอาชีพในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู ในหัวข้อ กฎหมายคนเข้าเมือง กฎหมายสัญชาติ และกฎหมายแรงงาน ของมาเลเซีย กิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์สำคัญเพื่อให้อาสาสมัครไทยมีส่วนช่วยสนับสนุนการให้ข้อมูลพื้นฐานและการสร้างความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องเกี่ยวกับกฎหมายมาเลเซียแก่คนไทยในรัฐทั้งสอง นอกจากอาสาสมัครคนไทยประมาณ 10 คนจากพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ของรัฐกลันตันและตรังกานูแล้ว ยังมีผู้แทนจากมูลนิธิ International Islamic Information and Daawah Centre, Kota Bharu (IIDAC) ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรการกุศลที่ช่วยเหลือคนกลุ่มเปราะบางรวมถึงคนไทยในรัฐกลันตัน เข้าร่วมรับฟังการอบรมและสอบถาม/แลกเปลี่ยนประเด็นปัญหาด้านกฎหมายข้างต้นกับวิทยากรด้วย
Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu organised the first legal consultation session of the year 2025 for Thai volunteers in Kelantan and Terengganu
On 8 May 2025, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu organised the first legal consultation session of the year 2025 for representatives of Thai volunteers in Kelantan and Terengganu at the Consulate’s conference hall. During the session, Mr. Cheah Poh Loon, a Malaysian lawyer, provided participants with fundamental knowledge of Malaysia laws related to immigration, citizenship, and labour, which are among the most relevant legal topics for Thais living and/or working in Kelantan and Terengganu. The main objective of the said activity is to enable the Thai volunteers to help support the provision of basic information and the creation of accurate understanding about Malaysian law for Thai people in both states. In addition to the Thai volunteer representatives from various areas of Kelantan and Terengganu, the event was also attended by representatives of the International Islamic Information and Daawah Centre, Kota Bharu (IIDAC), a non-profit organisation that helps vulnerable groups including Thais in Kelantan. The session also included interactive consultation, allowing participants to consult directly with the legal expert on various legal concerns.
