วันที่ 23-24 ตุลาคม 2557 รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ (นายณรงค์ ศศิธร) ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีอัญเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานประจำปี 2557 มาทอดถวาย ณ วัดประชาจินาราม ตำบลวากาฟบารู อำเภอตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน โดยมีพระวิจารณ์วุฒิคุณ เจ้าคณะรัฐกลันตัน เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ และมีอุปทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู คณะข้าราชการจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และสำนักพระราชวัง รวมทั้งชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย ชาวไทย ชาวจีน และพุทธบริษัทที่อาศัยอยู่ในรัฐกลันตัน และรัฐใกล้เคียงเป็นจำนวนนับพันคนมาร่วมพิธี สำหรับผู้แทนของรัฐกลันตันที่มารอให้การต้อนรับประธานในพิธี ณ วัดประชาจินาราม ได้แก่  YB Dato’ Hj. Che Abdullah Mat Nawi มนตรีด้านการเกษตร และเทคโนโลยีสิ่งแวดล้อมของรัฐกลันตัน และ Dato’ Mohd Rosdi Ab Aziz รักษาการประธานสาขาพรรคอัมโน ประจำอำเภอตุมปัต ทั้งนี้ พิธีทอดผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทาน ณ รัฐกลันตัน จัดขึ้นครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ 4 มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการธำรงรักษาพระพุทธศาสนาให้คงอยู่อย่างเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืนในประเทศมาเลเซีย ซึ่งนับเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันล้นพ้นของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ จนหาที่เปรียบมิได้

On 23-24 October 2014, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs presided over the Royal Kathina Ceremony 2014 at Prachacinaram Temple, Wakaf Baru, Tumpat, Kelantan where Phra Vicarnvuthikhun represented the monks as chairman of the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by the Minister and Chargés d'affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, the Thai Consul-General to Kota Bharu, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of the Royal Household as well as a large crowd of Malaysian Siamese, Thais, Chinese and other Buddhists from Kelantan and neighboring states. Representing the state of Kelantan at the ceremony was YB Dato’ Hj. Che Abdullah Mat Nawi (Committee Chairman of Agriculture, Cottage Industry & Biotechnology) and Dato’ Mohd Rosdi Ab Aziz (Acting Head of Tumpat Umno). This is the fourth time that the Royal Kathina Ceremony is held in Kelantan.
