วันที่ 9 ธันวาคม 2557 นาย Haji Wan Ahmad Wan Hassan ประธานบริษัทหนังสือพิมพ์รายวัน “Sinar Harian” ของมาเลเซีย ได้ขอสัมภาษณ์นายจักรกฤษณ์ กาญจนศูนย์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู เกี่ยวกับการจัดกิจกรรม “Thai Festival 2015” ซึ่งกำหนดจะจัดที่เมืองโกตาบารู ระหว่างวันที่ 29 มกราคม-4 กุมภาพันธ์ 2558 และที่เมืองกัวลาตรังกานู ระหว่างวันที่ 16-22 กุมภาพันธ์ 2558 ดังเช่นที่เคยจัดทุกปี ซึ่งกงสุลใหญ่ฯ กล่าวว่า ปีนี้คาดว่ากิจกรรมดังกล่าวจะยิ่งใหญ่กว่าปีที่ผ่าน ๆ มาเพราะมีผู้ประกอบการจากไทยให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมงานเป็นจำนวนมาก ซึ่งกิจกรรมดังกล่าวไม่เพียงแต่จะเกิดประโยชน์ต่อผู้ประกอบการไทยเท่านั้น แต่ยังจะเป็นการสร้างโอกาสให้แก่ผู้นำเข้าและส่งออกของมาเลเซียในการติดต่อทางธุรกิจกับผู้ประกอบการไทยที่เข้ามาร่วมงาน และยังเป็นการสนับสนุนกิจกรรม “Malaysia’s Year of Festival” ของรัฐบาลมาเลเซียในปีหน้าอีกด้วย จึงขอเชิญชวนนักท่องเที่ยวในรัฐกลันตันและตรังกานู มาเที่ยวชมงานโดยพร้อมเพียงกัน

On 9 December 2014, Mr. Haji Wan Ahmad Wan Hassan, Director at Sinar Harian Newspaper interviewed Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon on the upcoming Thai Festivals of 2015 which will be held in Kota Bharu, Kelantan during 29 January – 4 February 2015, and in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu during  16 – 22 February  2015.

Consul-General Jackrid expressed that this year’s event will be bigger than those in the previous years as numerous entrepreneurs from Thailand are enthusiastic about participating at the festival. The event will not only benefit the Thai entrepreneurs but will also provide business matching opportunities between Malaysian importers/exporters and Thai entrepreneurs. The festival will also help to promote Malaysia’s Year of Festival. Consul – General Jackrid also took this opportunity to invite tourists and the general public to visit the festivals in Kelantan and Terengganu.
