เมื่อวันพุธที่ 20 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2559 นายไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู พร้อมด้วยนายธนศักดิ์ เจริญสุข รองกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีทำบุญครบเจ็ดวันการมรณภาพและการปิดหีบศพของพระครูเกษม ธรรมวิภัช (สุข สะคาระโว) อดีตเจ้าอาวาสวัดชลประชุมธาตุชนาราม อ. ตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน โดยมีชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย (ชาวสยาม) สายมาเลเซียเชื้อสายจีน และชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายอินเดีย จำนวนมากเข้าร่วมงานบุญ ทั้งนี้ ในโอกาสดังกล่าว เจ้าคณะรัฐกลันตัน ได้แต่งตั้งเจ้าอาวาสองค์ใหม่วัดชลประชุมธาตุชนารามด้วย

On Wednesday, 20 July 2016 Consul-General Paitoon Songkaeo, accompanied by Deputy Consul-General Dhanasak Charoensuk, presided over a Buddhist merit making ceremony for the deceased abbot of Wat Cholprachumthatchanaram of Tumpat District, Kelantan state. Many Malaysians of Thai origin (Siamese), of Chinese origin, and of Indian origin attended the function. In this event, the new chief priest of the Wat (temple) was also appointed by the chief Buddhist monk of Kelantan state.
