เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 21 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2559 กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีทอดกฐินสามัคคีที่วัดพิกุลใหญ่ อ. ตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน ซึ่งมีชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย (ชาวสยาม) จำนวนหลายร้อยคนเข้าร่วมงานบุญใหญ่ประจำปีของวัดดังกล่าว

On Friday, 21 October 2016 Consul-General of Kota Bharu participated in the Kathina robe presentation ceremony at Wat Pikunyai (Buddhist temple) of Tumpat District in Kelantan State. The annual big function was collectively carried out by hundreds of the local Siamese Buddhists living around the temple.
