On 4 August 2017, the Association of Siamese Women of Kelantan organised the Festival of Kelantan's Siamese Citrawarna 2017 at Wat Sukhontharam, Tumpat District, Kelantan State. About 200 cultural dancers performed in the festival. Most of the performers are Malaysians of Thai origin (Siamese), and some of them are students from Sungai Kolok District, Narathiwat Province. Datuk Mas Ermieyati BT Samsudin, Vice Minister, Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, as a representative of H.E. Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri Bin Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, Minister of of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia presided over the function, which is also attended by Mr. Azman Taepoh, Thai Consul at Royal Thai Consulate-General of Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
