เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 11 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2560 ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำใหญ่ประจำปีที่ 56 ขององค์กรเอกชนมาเลเซียเพื่อชาวมุสลิม (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam – PERKIM) ที่โรงแรมแกรนด์ริเวอร์วิว เมืองโกตาบารู รัฐกลันตัน ทั้งนี้ HRH Dr. Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra Ibni Sultan Ismail Petra ผู้สำเร็จราชการแทนสุลต่านแห่งรัฐกลันตัน ได้เสด็จมาเป็นประธานงานดังกล่าว

On Friday 11 August 2017, Dr. Paitoon Songakeo, Consul-General, attended the 56th annual PERKIM national banquet at the Grand Riverview Hotel in Kota Bharau, hosted by Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam (PERKIM), a Malaysian Muslim-for-Muslim affairs organization. Presided over the function was HRH Dr. Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra Ibni Sultan Ismail Petra, the Region of Kelantan State.
