เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 22 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2560 ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ไปเป็นประธานเปิดการอบรมครูอาสาสมัครสอนภาษาไทยและวัฒนธรรมจากศูนย์การเรียนการสอนภาษาไทยและวัฒนธรรมไทยตามวัดต่าง ๆ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่วัดพิกุลทองวราราม อ. ตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน ตามโครงการ “การจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทย (อ่าน-เขียน) ในศตวรรษที่ 21” ของสาขาวิชาภาษาไทย คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏยะลา

On Friday 22 September 2017, Dr. Paitoon Songakeo, Consul-General, presided over a one-day training camp on how to teach the Thai language in the 21st century for the volunteers who regularly teach the Thai language and culture at various centers-in-the-Buddhist temples in Kelantan State. The camp, which took place at Wat Pikuntongwararam in Tumpat district of Kelantan State, was conducted by a group of instructors of the Thai language teaching from Yala Rajbhat University in Thailand.
