เมื่อวันที่ 13 มกราคม 2568 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ นาย Mohamed Yusoff Khan Bin Mohd Hassan ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง (ผอ.สตม.) รัฐกลันตัน ณ สตม. รัฐกลันตัน เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสที่ ผอ.สตม. รัฐกลันตันเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ โดยกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้แสดงความขอบคุณสำหรับความร่วมมืออันใกล้ชิดในช่วงที่ผ่านมาระหว่างสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ กับ สตม. รัฐกลันตัน และหวังจะสานต่อความร่วมมือระหว่างกันให้กระชับแน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น
โอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงมาตรการของฝ่ายมาเลเซียในการบังคับใช้กฎหมายคนเข้าเมืองอย่างเข้มงวดนับตั้งแต่ 1 ธันวาคม 2567 โดยกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ให้ความมั่นใจแก่ ผอ.สตม. รัฐกลันตันว่า สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ต้องการสนับสนุนให้คนไทยเดินทางเข้าเมืองและพำนักในมาเลเซียอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายเช่นกัน นอกจากนี้ ได้หารือแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับคนไทยที่เข้ามาอาศัย ทำงาน และศึกษาเล่าเรียนในรัฐกลันตัน รวมถึงการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานเพื่อรองรับการก่อสร้างสะพานคู่ขนานข้ามแม่น้ำโก-ลก บริเวณจุดผ่านแดนถาวรสุไหงโก-ลก - รันเตาปันยัง
Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu paid a courtesy call on the Director of Kelantan State Immigration on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty
On 13 January 2025, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, along with officials of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mohamed Yusoff Khan Bin Mohd Hassan, Director of Kelantan State Immigration, at Kelantan State Immigration Office, on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty. Consul-General expressed gratitude for close collaboration over the years between the two offices, as well as expressed wish to enhance mutual cooperation.
On this occasion, the two sides discussed Malaysia’s measures to tighten enforcement of its Immigration Law since 1 December 2024. Consul-General ensured that the Consulate-General has encouraged Thai citizens to enter and reside in Malaysia legally. Both parties also exchanged views and information regarding Thai nationals residing, working, and studying in Kelantan, as well as infrastructure development to accommodate construction of the second Golok bridge connecting Sungai Golok and Rantau Panjang border checkpoints.
