เมื่อวันที่ 26 สิงหาคม 2569 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู จัดกิจกรรมสาธิตและแข่งขันประกอบอาหารไทยสำหรับนักศึกษาไทยในรัฐกลันตัน จำนวน 20 ราย ซึ่งกำลังศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีและอนุปริญญาที่มหาวิทยาลัยอิสลามนานาชาติสุลต่านอิสมาอิล เปตรา (Sultan Ismail Petra International Islamic College University: KIAS) เมืองโกตาบารู และเป็นผู้แทนกลุ่มนักศึกษาไทยในภาคตะวันออกของมาเลเซีย (Thai Students in Eastern Malaysia: TE) ณ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ

โอกาสนี้ นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู กล่าวต้อนรับคณะนักศึกษาและกล่าวเปิดกิจกรรม จากนั้น น.ส. ปานระวี โภควัฒน์ แม่ครัวประจำกงสุลใหญ่ฯ สาธิตวิธีการปรุง “ผัดไทยกุ้งสดห่อไข่” ซึ่งเป็นเมนูอาหารไทยที่กลุ่มนักศึกษาให้ความสนใจและต้องการเรียนรู้มากที่สุด พร้อมทั้งแนะนำเทคนิคการจัดและตกแต่งจาน ภายหลังการสาธิต นักศึกษาได้แบ่งออกเป็น 5 กลุ่ม เพื่อแข่งขันปรุงผัดไทยกุ้งสดห่อไข่ โดยบรรยากาศเป็นไปอย่างสร้างสรรค์และสนุกสนาน จากนั้น คณะกรรมการซึ่งประกอบด้วยผู้มีความรู้และประสบการณ์ด้านการประกอบอาหารของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ชิมและให้คะแนนผลงานของแต่ละกลุ่ม ขณะเดียวกัน นักศึกษาได้ร่วมชิมผลงานของกลุ่มต่าง ๆ และลงคะแนนแบบ Popular Vote ก่อนปิดท้ายกิจกรรมด้วยการรับประทานอาหารร่วมกันระหว่างกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ กับกลุ่มนักศึกษา ในบรรยากาศที่ใกล้ชิดและเป็นกันเอง

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวมุ่งส่งเสริมทักษะด้านการประกอบอาหารไทยและเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาไทยได้เรียนรู้และแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ผ่านกิจกรรมสร้างสรรค์ ตลอดจนสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมและพื้นที่สร้างสรรค์สำหรับเยาวชนไทยในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายชุมชนไทยในต่างประเทศให้เข้มแข็งยิ่งขึ้น

Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu Organises Thai Cooking Demonstration and Competition for Thai Students in Kelantan

On 26 August 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organised a Thai cooking demonstration and competition for 20 Thai students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees and diplomas at Sultan Ismail Petra International Islamic College University (KIAS) in Kota Bharu. The students also represent the Thai Students in Eastern Malaysia (TE) group. The event was held at the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

On this occasion, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, delivered welcoming remarks and officiated the event. Ms. Panrawe Pockvat, the Consul-General’s chef, then demonstrated how to prepare “Pad Thai with Fresh Prawns Wrapped in Egg Sheet” (Pad Thai Goong Sod Hor Kai), the Thai dish that the students were most interested in learning, and shared techniques for plating and presentation. Following the demonstration, the students were divided into five groups to compete in preparing the dish. The competition took place in a creative and enjoyable atmosphere. The dishes prepared by each group were then tasted and evaluated by a panel of culinary experts from the Consulate-General. The students also sampled the dishes prepared by the other groups and cast their votes for the Popular Votes. The event concluded with a meal shared by the Consul-General, officials and staff of the Consulate-General, and the students in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The activity aims to enhance the Thai cooking skills and provide the Thai students with opportunities to learn and exchange experiences through creative activities. It also reflects the Consulate-General's commitment to promoting youth participation and providing creative platforms for Thai youth in Kelantan and Terengganu, as part of its efforts to strengthen Thai community networks in the two states.
