เนื่องในโอกาสวันแม่แห่งชาติ วันที่ 12 สิงหาคม 2559 นี้, เมื่อวันพุธที่ 10 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2559 คณะกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้ไปเยี่ยมูุและเลี้ยงอาหารเที่ยงแก่คนไทยจำนวน 231 คนที่ต้องโทษจำคุกและถูกคุมขังอยู่ที่เรือนจำเปงกะลันเชปา เมืองโกตาบารู รัฐกลันตัน

On the occasion of the coming Mother's Day on 12 August 2016, Mr. Paitoon Songkaeo, Consul-General, and other consular officers visited Pengalan Chepa Prison in Kota Bharu on 10 August 2016 to intimately meet with and to host lunch to the 231 Thai prisoners and the accused therein.
