เมื่อช่วงเช้าถึงเที่ยงวันศุกร์ที่ 21 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2560 ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เข้าร่วมงานทำบุญอายุครบ 61 ปีของพระครูอุดมธรรมปฏิภาณ (พ่อท่านบุญ) เจ้าอาวาสวัดอุตตมาราม (วัดบางแซะ) อ. ปาสิร์มัส รัฐกลันตัน ท่ามกลางพระภิกษุ แม่ชี และอุบาสกอุบาสิกาชาวไทยและชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย รวมทั้งชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายจีนจำนวนหลายร้อยคน ในงานฉลองอายุดังกล่าว พระครูอุดมธรรมปฏิภาณได้แจกทุนการศึกษาแก่เด็ก ๆ จำนวนมากด้วย

In the morning till noon of Friday 21 April 2017, Dr. Paitoon Songkaeo, Consul-General, attended a Buddhist birthday celebration of Phra Kru Udomthammapatipan (Pho Tan Bun), the abbot of Wat Uttamaram in Pasir Mas district of Kelantan State. A lot of his followers comprising the Thai people, the Malaysians of Thai origin, and the Malaysians of Chinese origin participated in the function, during which he also gave a scholarship to a lot of pupils.
