เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 21 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2560 เวลา 13.00 น. เศษ ดร. ไพฑูรย์ สงค์แก้ว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีฌาปนกิจศพนายศิริ เนงบัว ชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย (ชาวสยาม) ซึ่งเป็นนักปราชญ์ด้านภาษา และประเพณีวัฒนธรรมของชาวมาเลเซียเชื้อสายไทย (ชาวสยาม) ที่ป่าช้าบ่อเสม็ด (หรือที่ชาวสยามเรียกว่าเปลวบ่อเสม็ด) ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ติดกับวัดพิกุลทองวรารามและวัดแจ้งพุทธาวาส อ. ตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน

In the afternoon of Friday 21 April 2017, Dr. Paitoon Songkaeo, Consul-General, went to Bosamed Cremation Site, to preside over the Buddhist rite of cremation of the body of Mr. Siri Neng Buah, who was widely respected for his knowledge of language and culture of the Malaysians of Thai origin (Siamese). The cremation site is situated next to Wat Pikuntongvararam and Wat Chaengputtawas in Tumpat district of Kelantan State.
