วันที่ 14 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู และข้าราชการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม“WALK WITH ME "IN THE MEMORY OF DATO' KY" ณ สนามกีฬาสุลต่านมูฮัมหมัดที่ 4 เมืองโกตาบารู รัฐกลันตัน โดยสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีมูฮัมมัดที่ 5 สุลต่านแห่งรัฐกลันตัน เสด็จเป็นองค์ประธานและทรงนำขบวนเดินการกุศลระยะทาง 3.2 กิโลเมตร พร้อมพระชายา และมกุฏราชกุมารแห่งรัฐกลันตัน

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2554 และกลับมาจัดอีกครั้งเมื่อปี 2569 หลังจากว่างเว้นการจัดงานไป 10 ปี โดยในปีนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้ธีม “รำลึกถึง ดาโต๊ะ กีวาย” และมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานกว่า 10,000 คน สะท้อนถึงความร่วมมือและพลังสามัคคีของประชาชนอย่างกว้างขวาง

การจัดงานครั้งนี้เป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างองค์กรราชวงศ์อัล-มูฮัมมาดีแห่งกลันตันและสำนักงานเลขาธิการรัฐ เพื่อรำลึกถึงคุณูปการของดาโต๊ะ เต็งกู อิบราฮิม ฟาราฮิดดิน บิน เต็งกู ไฟซาล ผู้ล่วงลับและเป็นน้องชายของเลขาธิการรัฐกลันตันคนปัจจุบัน โดยดาโต๊ะ กีวาย ในฐานะผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง Royal Walkathon Program มีบทบาทสำคัญในการริเริ่มและผลักดันกิจกรรมฯ ให้ประสบความสำเร็จตั้งแต่เริ่มต้น โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์สำคัญเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามัคคีในสังคม และรณรงค์ให้ประชาชนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการออกกำลังเพื่อสุขภาพที่ดี

Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu Participates in the Charity Walk “WALK WITH ME IN THE MEMORY OF DATO’ KY”

On 14 February 2026, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, together with officials from the Consulate-General, was invited to attend the “WALK WITH ME ‘IN THE MEMORY OF DATO' KY’” event at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. H.R.H. Sultan Muhammad V, Sultan of Kelantan, presided over the event and led the 3.2-kilometer charity walk, accompanied by H.R.H. Sultanah Nur Diana Petra Abdullah and H.H. Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail Petra, Crown Prince of Kelantan.

The event was first held in 2011 and was organized again in 2026 after a 10-year hiatus. This year’s event was held under the theme “In Memory of Dato’ KY,” drawing more than 10,000 participants and reflecting the strong spirit of cooperation and unity among the public.

 

This year’s event was jointly organized by the Kelantan Al-Muhammadi Royal Family Association and the State Secretary’s Office in commemoration of the late Dato’ Tengku Ibrahim Farihaddin bin Tengku Faisal, who was the younger brother of the current State Secretary of Kelantan. Dato’ KY, as co-founder of the Royal Walkathon Program, played a key role in initiating and driving the success of the event from its inception, with its main objective to promote social unity and to encourage public awareness of the importance of exercise for good health.
