วันที่ 13 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายปิยะศิริ วัฒนวรางกูร เลขาธิการศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (ศอ.บต.) ณ ศูนย์อำนวยการบริหารจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดยะลา เพื่อแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสที่เลขาธิการฯ เข้ารับหน้าที่ใหม่ และแสดงความขอบคุณที่ ศอ.บต. ได้ให้ความอนุเคราะห์และสนับสนุนสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ด้วยดีตลอดมา พร้อมหารือแนวทางกระชับความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องในการต่อยอดความร่วมมือระหว่างสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ศอ.บต. กับรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู ประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยมุ่งขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจ การศึกษา และการท่องเที่ยว เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ และส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์กับรัฐทั้งสอง โครงการสำคัญที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องดำเนินงานร่วมกัน ได้แก่ การจัดเทศกาลฮาลาล ณ รัฐตรังกานู ช่วงเดือนพฤษภาคม – มิถุนายน 2569 การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในรัฐกลันตัน และกิจกรรมถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ของผู้เชี่ยวชาญไทยเพื่อบูรณะปฏิสังขรณ์วัดไทยในรัฐกลันตัน นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับความเชื่อมโยงและพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวชายแดน และแนวทางการบูรณาการการทำงานร่วมกัน

Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu calls on Secretary – General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre

 

On 13 February 2026, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Piyasiri Wattanavrangkul, Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC), at the SBPAC Headquarters in Yala Province.

The visit was to congratulate the Secretary-General on his recent appointment, express appreciation for SBPAC’s continued support for the Consulate-General and discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation between the Consulate-General and SBPAC.

Both sides agreed to build upon existing collaboration with Kelantan and Terengganu in Malaysia, focusing on advancing cooperation in the areas of economy, education, and tourism. The objective is to support the development of Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces and enhance relations with the two States.

Key joint initiatives discussed include organization of a Halal Festival in Terengganu during May–June 2026; promotion of cooperation with higher education institutions in Kelantan; and knowledge-sharing activities by Thai experts to assist in the restoration of Thai temples in Kelantan.

In addition, Consul-General and Director-General exchanged views on enhancing cross-border connectivity, promoting border tourism, and integrating their efforts more effectively
