วันที่ 14 กรกฎาคม 2568 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู จัดกิจกรรมคลินิกให้คำปรึกษากฎหมาย ครั้งที่ 2 ประจำปี 2568 ในหัวข้อกฎหมายการจ้างงานของมาเลเซีย แก่คนไทยในรัฐกลันตัน ประเทศมาเลเซีย จำนวน 7 ราย ณ อาคารอเนกประสงค์ของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ โดยนาย Cheah Poh Loon ทนายความชาวมาเลเซียเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายให้ความรู้พื้นฐานด้านกฎหมายการจ้างงานของมาเลเซีย สิทธิและความคุ้มครองตามกฎหมายแก่แรงงานต่างชาติในมาเลเซีย รวมถึงหลักเกณฑ์และขั้นตอนการขอรับการตรวจลงตราและใบอนุญาตสำหรับการทำงานในมาเลเซียอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย
นอกจากการรับฟังการบรรยายแล้ว ส่วนสำคัญของกิจกรรมดังกล่าวคือการเปิดโอกาสให้คนไทยที่เข้าร่วมได้ปรึกษาปัญหาและขอรับคำแนะนำทางกฎหมายเป็นรายบุคคลจากทนายความชาวมาเลเซียในประเด็นส่วนตัวที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการทำงานในมาเลเซีย
ทั้งนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ จัดคลินิกให้คำปรึกษาด้านกฎหมายมาเลเซียขึ้น โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ให้คนไทยในรัฐกลันตันและรัฐตรังกานู มีความรู้ความเข้าใจพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับกฎหมายของมาเลเซียในประเด็นสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับชีวิตประจำวัน เพื่อให้สามารถเดินทางเข้าเมือง พำนักอาศัย ศึกษาเล่าเรียน และประกอบอาชีพในมาเลเซียได้อย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย
Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organized the second legal consultation session of the year 2025 for Thais in Kelantan regarding Malaysian laws and regulations on employment
On 14 July 2025, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu organized the second legal consultation session of the year 2025 for 7 Thais residing in Kelantan on the topic of Malaysian laws and regulations on employment at the Consulate-General’s conference hall. During the session, Mr. Cheah Poh Loon, a Malaysian lawyer, provided participants with fundamental knowledge on Malaysian laws and regulations on employment, legal rights and protection for foreign workers in Malaysia, as well as procedures to apply for visa and permit in order to work legally in Malaysia.
Apart from the briefing session, highlight of the activity included an opportunity for Thai participants to engage in a one-on-one legal consultations with the Malaysian lawyer to seek customized legal advice regarding employment in Malaysia.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General has continually organized legal consultation sessions on Malaysian laws with an aim to equip Thais in Kelantan and Terengganu with fundamental understanding on topics of Malaysian laws related to their daily lives in Malaysia, to enable them to enter, reside, study, and work in Malaysia in accordance with the country’s laws and regulations.
