วันที่ 5 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายภาษิต จูฑะพุทธิ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองโกตาบารู ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดอาคารสำนักงานสมาคมสยามกลันตัน ณ อำเภอตุมปัต รัฐกลันตัน โดยมีผู้แทนชุมชนชาวสยามในมาเลเซีย แขกผู้มีเกียรติและผู้แทนจากภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ เข้าร่วมพิธี
โอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดี พร้อมเน้นย้ำว่า การเปิดสำนักงานแห่งใหม่นี้ถือเป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญ ในประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานของชาวสยามในรัฐกลันตัน ซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความร่วมมือ ความเสียสละ และความมุ่งมั่นของชุมชนในการธำรงอัตลักษณ์ไทย ทั้งด้านภาษา ศาสนาและวัฒนธรรม สำนักงานแห่งนี้จึงไม่ใช่เพียงเครื่องหมายของความสำเร็จเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นหลักฐานของความเสียสละ ความเพียรพยายาม และความผูกพันของชาวสยามที่มีต่อชุมชนของตน
กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้กล่าวชื่นชมครอบครัวคุณป้าซอกวัน (Won Siok Wan) ที่ได้อนุญาตให้สมาคมฯ ใช้บ้านหลังนี้เป็นสำนักงาน นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่สมาคมฯ มีสำนักงานเป็นของตนเอง ถือเป็นก้าวย่างสำคัญที่จะช่วยสนับสนุนการทำงานของคณะกรรมการสมาคมฯ ให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น พร้อมเชิญชวนชาวสยามทุกคนร่วมมือกันพัฒนาสมาคมฯ ให้เข้มแข็ง เป็นตัวแทนของชุมชมชาวสยามอย่างสมภาคภูมิ เพราะการรักษามรดกทางวัฒนธรรมเป็นหน้าที่ร่วมกันของทุกคน โดยเฉพาะท่ามกลางกระแสการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และเทคโนโลยีที่รวดเร็วและรุนแรง
นอกจากนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทของสมาคมฯ ในการเป็นศูนย์กลางความร่วมมือทั้งภายในชุมชนและระหว่างชุมชน พร้อมยืนยันเจตนารมณ์ของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ที่จะสานต่อความร่วมมือกับสมาคมฯ ที่ดำเนินมายาวนานกว่า 30 ปี ในด้านวัฒนธรรม การศึกษา ภาษา และศาสนา รวมถึงการประสานกับหน่วยงานไทย เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็ง ความผูกพัน และความยั่งยืนของสังคมชาวสยามในรัฐกลันตัน และเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญที่ช่วยขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับมาเลเซียให้เจริญก้าวหน้าต่อไป
ภายในงานยังมีกิจกรรมตักบาตรและถวายสังฆทาน การแสดงนาฏศิลป์ไทยและการเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวัน เพื่อแสดงความขอบคุณแก่ผู้สนับสนุนและสมาชิกสมาคมฯ ทุกคน
Consul-General in Kota Bharu attends Opening Ceremony of the Siam Kelantan Association Office
On 5 July 2025, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, attended the opening ceremony of the Siam Kelantan Association Office in Tumpat District, Kelantan. The event was graced by members of the Association's Committee, representatives of the Siamese community in Malaysia, distinguished guests, and delegates from various sectors.
In his remarks, the Consul-General congratulated the Association on this significant milestone, highlighting the opening of the new Office as a proud chapter in the long-standing history of the Siamese community in Kelantan. He noted that the establishment of the Office is a reflection of the community’s unity, dedication, and determination to preserve their cultural identity — including language, religion, and traditions. More than just a facility, the Office symbolizes the resilience, perseverance, and deep-rooted ties that bind the Siamese people together.
The Consul-General also extended heartfelt appreciation to the family of Auntie Won Siok Wan, who generously allowed the Association to use their home as its first permanent Office. This generous contribution marks a historic step forward, providing the Association with a dedicated space to carry out its work more effectively. He encouraged members of the Siamese community to join hands in strengthening the Association, so that it can proudly represent the community since the preservation of cultural heritage is a collective responsibility, especially in the face of rapid economic, social, and technological changes.
Furthermore, the Consul-General underscored the Association’s central role for cooperation, both within the community and with external partners. He reaffirmed the Consulate-General’s continued support and commitment to its longstanding partnership with the Association - spanning over 30 years - in key areas such as culture, education, language, and religion as well as liaise with Thai agencies. This collaboration, he noted, not only reinforces the strength and unity of the Siamese community in Kelantan but also serves as a foundation for advancing cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia.
The event also featured a range of cultural and religious activities, including merit-making, almsgiving and offerings to monks, traditional Thai dance performances, and a luncheon to thank all supporters and members of the Association.
